Hotfix #30 Released!

Hello everyone,

We’re excited to announce a new hotfix update that addresses various cross-play issues and resolves some crash scenarios. Certain tentacled characters are now more photogenic—say cheese, darling!

Although Patch 8 marked the final significant update for Baldur’s Gate 3, we are committed to releasing smaller hotfixes to tackle any remaining bugs. If you encounter any issues, please report them to our Support Team.

MODDING
  • Resolved the incorrect ‘Missing XAML’ error that appeared on the main menu after removing mods and switching input modes from keyboard and mouse to controller.
  • Adjusted Mod Manager notifications so they are correctly attributed to logged-in users rather than appearing anonymous.
  • Fixed a scrolling glitch on the Mod Details page for mods with numerous tags.
GAME
Gameplay and Scripting
  • The range of Divine Allegiance now accurately triggers within melee distance as indicated in the tooltip.
  • Resolved how the Gloves of Battlemage’s Power interact with dual-wielded weapons.
  • Addressed an issue causing paladins to lose their Auras post-Long Rest.
  • The War Priest attack now functions correctly even if the character moves before attacking.
  • Tavern Brawler no longer provides a damage bonus to Elemental Cleaver’s elemental damage in Honour Mode.
  • Fixed the cinematic sequence error when goblins at Moonrise Towers were instructed to sacrifice themselves.
  • Resolved the issue preventing camera movement using WASD while Shift is pressed.
  • Polearm Clout now properly benefits from additional weapon damage sources.
  • Weapons bound using Pact of the Blade or Hexblade now correctly utilize the Charisma modifier for Polearm Clout attacks.
  • Magical Ambush, Skilled Skullduggery, and Lethal Concealment no longer disappear while sneaking.
  • Recasting Cloudkill after upcasting to Level 6 now functions with the correct version, and visuals have been corrected.
  • Shadow Blade now only provides Advantage to melee weapon attacks made while equipped.
Cross-Play
  • Resolved an error where clients were stuck on a loading screen after trying to join a cross-play lobby without an invitation.
  • Fixed the ability to enable cross-play and send invitations during a non-cross-play session when accessing settings via the escape menu.
  • Corrected the issue allowing attempts to join a lobby from the friends panel before updating the lobby list.
  • Addressed a bug causing hosts to remain at 0% loading if a client joined during the post-Character Creation cinematic.
  • A timeout now redirects you to the main menu if joining a cross-play game fails.
  • If your PC connection is lost, leading to ‘Online features are disabled’, the session settings will be disabled accordingly, aligning with console behavior.
  • Enhanced network disconnection handling for cross-play.
  • Standardized character limits for usernames across platforms.
Photo Mode
  • Resolved the ‘Highlights’ setting issue on consoles.
  • Fixed the ‘Mirror’ option display issue in Photo Mode across localized versions.
  • Addressed a bug preventing the selection of Tavflayer or Karlachflayer in Photo Mode settings.
New Subclasses
  • Kills achieved while intoxicated as a Way of the Drunken Master monk now contribute to the Punch Drunk achievement. Fair’s fair!
  • Updated the Shadow Infusion condition tooltip description to remove developer text.
  • The probability of Hexblade’s Curse infliction no longer rises with each use of Bind Hexed Weapon by a Warlock.
  • Circle of the Stars druids can now acquire additional Wild Shapes (Deep Rothé, Panther, Owlbear, Dilophosaurus).
UI
  • Fixed the Bonus Action icon omission on controller tooltips for some modded game players.
  • Corrected the ‘Choices Pending!’ message appearance during Character Creation after a mod related to color options was disabled.
  • On controller, briefly postponed the cursor selection in the Mod Verification window until the mod list loaded.
  • Fixed missing Action Resource icons when pinning tooltips on a controller.
  • Prevented platform switching when already in transition between controller and keyboard and mouse.
  • Resolved the absence of Spell Slot resources on tooltips in the Prepare Spells tab during Level Up.
  • Fixed a UI glitch arising from opening Action and Menu radials simultaneously.
  • Corrected Surge Accuracy tooltip linkage to the Action Surge tooltip.
  • Fixed Quickened Mage Hand tooltip linkage to the Mage Hand tooltip.
  • Resolved missing information in instrument tooltips.
  • Adjusted the controller selection box that appeared larger than tooltips.
Performance
  • Resolved input delays on PS5 split-screen when editing Dream Guardian for both players.
  • Fixed performance concerns on M4 Macs causing stuttering in densely populated areas.
  • Fixed the Mac game window freezing when launched without an internet connection.
Launcher
  • Sending a report through the Larian Crash Reporter now retains your saved settings files.
Audio
  • Fixed the looping issue of Shadow Blade sound effects.
Animation and Cinematics
  • Fixed the bug where lovely Buthir’s arms were stuck in position during gameplay.
  • Resolved the issue in the dialogue with Kagha at the Emerald Grove where she appeared to glide across the ground.
Crashes and Blockers
  • Resolved a crash when switching from controller to keyboard and mouse after selecting ‘Venture Forth’.
  • Fixed potential blockers in savegames related to Aura storage without valid cause.
  • Addressed crash scenarios when dragging corpses’ portraits onto the Party Line.
  • Fixed potential crashes from immediate controller activation during game startup.
  • Resolved potential crashes in multiplayer.
  • Fixed potential crash scenarios when launching on Vulkan on Snapdragon devices.
  • Resolved a UI-related crash.
  • Fixed a dialogue UI-related crash.
