Palworld sought a 2025 Steam Awards Labor of Love nomination

On November 25, 2025, Pocketpair asked Steam users to nominate Palworld for the Labor of Love category in the 2025 Steam Awards. The campaign cited the game’s continued development during early access and asked players to support the nomination during Steam’s voting window.

Pocketpair’s case for the nomination

The developer counted 18 patches released during 2025, covering fixes and improvements based on player feedback. Pocketpair also pointed to two major content updates delivered earlier in the year and a third update planned for December. These figures described the state of development when the nomination campaign appeared.

Work on version 1.0 was another part of the appeal. Pocketpair’s September 2025 roadmap said the team was concentrating on technical cleanup and polish before leaving early access, while still preparing additional content for the end of the year. The roadmap placed the full release in 2026.

Palworld 1.0 followed in 2026

Pocketpair later set July 10, 2026 as the date for version 1.0 and accompanied the announcement with a cinematic trailer. The release completed the transition described in the earlier roadmap. The Steam Awards post itself concerned a nomination for ongoing support during 2025; its documented milestones were the 18 patches, two major updates, the planned December update and development of version 1.0.
