Hollow Knight: Silksong Developers Fixed Bugs and Integrated a Fan Mod to Solve the Game’s Localization Problem

Community feedback assisted the developers.

The release of Hollow Knight: Silksong pleased many players, but some in China raised concerns about the localization.

The Chinese translation of Silksong proved uneven — it contained a lot of liberties and some elements differed significantly from the original Hollow Knight.

Team Cherry listened to the criticism and, after testing, issued a patch that integrates an improved fan-made translation into the game: “Updated Simplified Chinese translation using the fan translation provided by Team Cart Fix.”

Other notable changes:

  • Switched to Unity’s input system to improve overall controller support — vibration now works across various controllers and additional gamepads are recognized.
  • A “grain” effect has been added to the advanced graphics settings.
  • The Crown of Purity has been made more durable.
  • Fixed instances where Hornet could push enemies through the ground.
  • Fixed issues with some enemies’ attack behaviors.
