Prominent community insider Tyler McVicker has once again addressed the fanbase, doubling down on his assertion that the project is very much a reality.

Adding fuel to the fire, a recent update for Dota 2 reportedly contains fresh references to “HLX”—a designation widely believed to be Valve’s internal shorthand for the next Half-Life installment.

Whispers in the industry suggest that the new Half-Life may debut alongside a new Steam Machine iteration. Rumors indicate that the reveal is being delayed due to volatile memory market prices, which have allegedly made it difficult for Valve to finalize a competitive price point for the hardware.
