Hacker cracks Denuvo and Capcom protection in Monster Hunter Wilds

Tech enthusiasts are continuing their persistent crusade against intrusive DRM systems.

Monster Hunter Wilds has recently become the center of attention within the PC gaming community. A developer operating under the pseudonym Kirigiri’s has announced a successful bypass of the game’s multi-layered security protocols.

According to Kirigiri’s, Capcom did not rely solely on Denuvo to protect this latest installment. Instead, they implemented an additional proprietary security layer developed in-house to bolster the game’s defenses.

This isn’t a traditional “crack” in the conventional sense; the bypass utilizes a hypervisor-based method to circumvent the protection. Because of this technical approach, players who wish to use the Monster Hunter Wilds bypass must disable certain native Windows security features, which inherently exposes the system to increased security risks.
