Ikumi Nakamura invited Elon Musk to a private playtest for Kemuri in Tokyo during Tokyo Game Show 2026, offering the billionaire a chance to try Unseen’s new game firsthand.

The head of the independent studio Unseen reached out to Musk publicly on X and invited him to attend the experimental gathering.

Hi @elonmusk. I am a little nervous making this request publicly, but during TGS we will hold a small private experimental event for Kemuri at our Tokyo studio Unseen. If you are nearby, I would be happy to invite you.

She included a short comic strip with the post, referencing their meeting at The Game Awards 2019.

Kemuri is the first project from Unseen, which Nakamura founded in 2021. It is an action-packed demon-hunting game where characters can absorb demon abilities and use them through special suits.

The invitation drew a mixed reaction on social media. Nakamura later explained that she wanted to find out if Musk really is the same kind of otaku and fan of Japanese culture that he claims to be. It remains unknown whether the billionaire will respond to the invitation.
