This week fans will have the chance to pick up the board game Warhammer Quest: Darkwater, in which bold heroes face off against Nurgle’s chaotic minions within the Warhammer Age of Sigmar setting.
Games Workshop continues to delight followers of the Age of Sigmar universe. Pre-orders for the cooperative board game Warhammer Quest: Darkwater — designed for 1–4 players — open on 29 November 2025.
The box contains 49 highly detailed miniatures: seven heroes (plus the spirit Whisper) — Drolf Ironhead, Edmark Valoran, Bren Tylis, Inara Sion, Keltannor, Drasher Vorn, and Jacobus Vane — villains including Gelgus Pust, Belga Cystwitch, Mulgoth the Cleaver and Fulhuf Dirtyhoof — and standard foes: two putrid-born, three Templars of Corruption, eight Pestigors, 14 Infected Ruffians, six swamp kelpi, and four tokens.
Included as well is a 38-page hardcover map book that unfolds to serve as the playing surface in lieu of tiles, hero and enemy cards, reward cards, two token boards, dice, and storage trays for cards and tokens between sessions.
A quick-start guide lets you begin playing within minutes, while a 36-page rulebook explains both skirmish and campaign modes and walks you through the game’s mechanics.
In addition, the Path to Glory: Blighted Wilds expansion will be available. This 90-page campaign supplement for Warhammer Age of Sigmar introduces the Blighted Wilds pack with bespoke campaign rules: distinctive abilities, rewards, battle scars, mission plans, two Hero Paths, two Unit Paths, universal upgrades, and a curated selection of spells and prayers.
Also releasing are the following books: Demolisher by Andy Clarke — available in a limited edition, hardcover, digital and audio formats — and The Rise of Nagash by Mike Lee as a new-design trade paperback and in digital form. All of the items listed above are due to arrive in stores on 13 December 2025.
