Not everyone has welcomed the new vision for Gothic.

Players recently viewed promotional materials for the Gothic remake, and some raised objections. They pointed out alterations to character designs and to one of the locations.

Judging from the released shots, women in the Gothic remake will be shown in less revealing portrayals.

Members of the community also observed that the ornate painting no longer hangs in Gomez’s throne room — it previously depicted women wearing very little clothing.

User queazy commented that “sexuality is like a canary in a coal mine: if it’s gone [dead], then everything else will be handled [incorrectly].”

Daman_1985 and several others suggested: “let’s allow contemporary audiences to decide whether to purchase this game.”
