Gacha game with sexual content “Brown Dust 2” suddenly removed from Steam days before release

The game has been added to wishlists more than 200,000 times. The developers are working tirelessly to have the title reinstated on Valve’s platform.

According to the Japanese outlet Game*Spark, the gacha title Brown Dust 2’s store page vanished just days before the PC release that had been scheduled for December 15. On December 4 the developers celebrated surpassing 200,000 Steam wishlists, yet by December 6 both the game’s page and its community hub were inaccessible.

We are in active talks with Steam and are doing everything possible to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

On the official website the title carries a PEGI 18 rating, citing sexual content and in‑game purchases.

Since Steam’s summer policy update, removals and restrictions targeting games with “adult” content have become much more common. Many such projects have not managed to return to the storefront.
