FX Releases First Behind-the-Scenes Video for Season 2 of Alien: Earth
The sequel will be on a larger scale and will expand the world of the series in greater depth.
FX has released the first behind-the-scenes video from the set of the second season of Alien: Earth. The clip showcases the sets and confirms that work on the continuation is underway at Pinewood Studios in London, with filming having started back in July 2026.
According to showrunner Noah Hawley, the second season will be larger in scope and will explore the world of the series in greater detail:
“This is a larger series with a more detailed world-building. I can’t imagine a better place to take on such a challenge. The second season builds upon everything the first promised.”

Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Babou Ceesay, Samuel Blenkin, and other cast members from the first season will return to their roles in the second season. Peter Dinklage, Tracey Ullman, Sam Spruell, and Jerome Flynn have also joined the cast. Details about the new characters are still being kept under wraps, but Hawley has previously shared that Dinklage has landed one of the key roles.
A release date for the second season of Alien: Earth has not yet been announced. The video is available at the following link.
