The development team has crafted the project to be as player-friendly as possible. According to the creators, Duet Night Abyss does not use gacha mechanics — characters and weapons can be unlocked through regular gameplay grind without microtransactions. The game also omits daily progression caps, a common feature in many free-to-play titles.
The developers intend to generate most of their revenue from the sale of outfits and cosmetic items. If this approach succeeds, it could pose a substantial challenge to established titles like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves.
Of course, the concept sounds ideal on paper, but only practical experience will show how fair the monetization proves to be — this is always a contentious issue in games of this kind.
Duet Night Abyss is available on PC and mobile devices. On PC, the game can be downloaded via the Epic Games Store or from the official website (see the “PC Download” section at the bottom of the page). A Steam version will arrive later — the launch on Valve’s platform is scheduled with a delay.
