Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will launch on January 22, 2026 for Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2, and Square Enix has published a new trailer showcasing the iconic opening on all platforms.
Even if side-by-side comparisons with earlier editions aren’t exactly what some fans expected, it’s satisfying to see how the game presents itself on the new hardware.
For those worried about performance on the Switch 2, the title is confirmed to run stable at 30 fps and requires roughly 90 GB of storage. A new Streamlined Progression option has also been announced for both versions, enabling permanently maxed HP and MP, full ATB and Limit Gauges, and other gameplay bonuses.
That option will allow players to focus entirely on the narrative. These features are slated to arrive later on PS5 and PC. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is also planned for release on Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2, though no exact date has been provided. The third and concluding chapter of the trilogy will appear on all platforms once the developers are ready to release it.
