The planned Online mode borrows familiar ideas from GTA-style multiplayer: minigames, free-roam sessions, and roleplay features. The team says the mod will include a detailed inventory and an in-game economy so players can earn money to buy cars, items, and homes. There’s even a whimsical FPS variant where players control oversized, cartoony rats with guns — a workaround the developers adopted because they didn’t want firearms in the standard free‑roam experience, and because making combat appropriate for younger characters was an important concern for Rockstar as well.
The creators expect to release the mod “in due time.” Supporters who back the project via the Ko‑fi page will receive perks such as early access to the mod in December 2025, behind‑the‑scenes developer commentary, and an in‑game camera feature.
Rockstar “laughed at all the controversy” surrounding Bully’s name before the original game launched — “They were freaking out over something they didn’t really know anything about.”
