Expecto Patronum!: Bombora Reveals Cover of ‘Harry Potter and the Gifts of Game Development’
Pre-orders will open soon for “Harry Potter and the Gifts of GameDev” by Semyon Kostin. The price has not yet been announced, but the cover is already on display for readers to admire.
Publisher Bombora decided to delight both Potter fans and gamers today by revealing the cover of “Harry Potter and the Gifts of GameDev,” written by game journalist Semyon Kostin.
Illustrator Yulia Zlatoverkhovnikova, who designed the cover, managed to weave in numerous nods meant for aficionados of the Harry Potter gaming world.
According to Bombora staff, the book will appeal not only to those immersed in the games industry but also to non-gamers who have always dreamt of stepping into Hogwarts. Readers will learn:
- Which Harry Potter–themed games have endured over time and which have been forgotten;
- In what ways video games differ from screen adaptations beyond mere interactivity;
- How inventive pirates once reworked an Aladdin title into an adventure about a boy wizard.
Pre-orders for “Harry Potter and the Gifts of GameDev” will begin in the near future.
