Players will soon be able to compete in earning experience points.

This month, the developers of Escape from Tarkov plan to release another update for the game that will introduce a competitive Leagues system.

Battlestate Games has published a new teaser for Leagues and outlined how they will work:

Each week you will compete with 50 players of the same rank. The top 25 players based on earned experience will advance and compete in the next rank the following week. Any in-game action that grants experience helps you progress.

For achieving a rank for the first time, Escape from Tarkov players will receive a corresponding reward. If a rank drops, the reward will not be taken away, with the developers clarifying that “these rewards will stay with you forever.”

The creators of Escape from Tarkov have also implemented several balance adjustments:

  • The cost to unlock access to the Lighthouse location as part of the “Tour” storyline has been reduced to $8,000.
  • On the Shoreline, Streets of Tarkov, and Ground Zero locations, the spawn chance for Black Division has been increased to 35%.

In addition, an in-game survey has been introduced, asking players for their opinions on seasonal modifiers and inviting them to share their ideas. Survey participants will be offered a “Document case” and a “Black Division gear crate” as rewards.
