Escape from Duckov Storms Steam: New Indie Hit Reaches Another Sales Milestone
In 2025 the indie games sector is enjoying an unprecedented upswing — stronger than it has ever been. Titles like R.E.P.O, Peak, Absolum, Ball x Pit, and Escape from Duckov are posting impressive sales figures that, until recently, would have seemed out of reach without a major publisher or substantial budgets.
The latest of these, Escape from Duckov, launched only a few days ago and has already produced outstanding results. It moved 200,000 copies within its first 24 hours, and by day three sales had approached the half‑million mark.
Yesterday the game set a new peak for concurrent players — 146,000 — eclipsing Clair Obscur’s previous high of 145,000. The indie scene is once again demonstrating that small teams can compete with major releases.
