The makers of Grand Theft Auto VI have been slow to share fresh promotional material, which has encouraged both insiders and pranksters to become more active.
Recently, content from the Zap Actu GTA 6 channel went viral within the community. Using AI tools, the creator fabricated a so‑called “gameplay leak.”
That started to grate on some players, and the enthusiast replied:
I never intended to hurt anyone. I only wanted to create something interesting that might bring people together and spark conversation in the GTA VI community. I really didn’t expect a single video to generate such massive engagement and reach.
In a chat with IGN, the leaker admitted:
Honestly, it was a prank — I did it purely to entertain the community. Sorry for raising false hopes, lol.
His activity continued: footage has since surfaced showing a snow‑covered version of the “GTA VI location” (the standard version appeared in the trailer).
