EA Uses AI in Battlefield 6 Development, but Players Won’t Notice

EA has confirmed that AI was employed during the early stages of Battlefield 6’s development, but insists that everything players will see was crafted by human hands. According to Rebecca Kutaz, AI helps the team iterate and test ideas more quickly, saving time and allowing developers to focus on creative work.

Fasahat “Fas” Salim from Criterion studio cautioned against fearing the technology: AI is simply a tool that speeds up processes and sparks new approaches, but it does not replace the people behind the project.

For EA, Battlefield 6 is a significant and high-risk venture following the setbacks of Battlefield 2042. Developers promise a single-player campaign and a revamped multiplayer experience shaped by fan feedback. The studio says artificial intelligence remains behind the scenes and only aids the production process.

Early reviews note that multiplayer is the game’s main strength — fast-paced, engaging, and genuinely combative. The campaign adds variety, but is seen as secondary.
