EA to Shut Down Grid Servers — Less Than a Month Left

EA has announced it will shut down the servers for GRID (2019) on December 19, 2025. After that date, all multiplayer modes and online features will be unavailable.

The publisher has added GRID to its list of unsupported titles, although the main round of Codemasters server closures took place in November, when four older games were taken offline: GRID 2, GRID Autosport, DiRT 3, and DiRT Showdown.

Completionists need not worry about lost achievements — none of the 38 trophies rely on online functionality. Crucially, the game includes one of the most taxing achievements, “Around the Globe,” which requires players to “drive a distance equal to the Earth’s circumference,” effectively tacking on hundreds of hours of repetitive grinding to a full completion.

While EA denies rumors of a total shutdown, Codemasters’ long-term prospects remain uncertain.
