EA Says Battlefield 6 Is the Year’s Best-Selling Shooter
Electronic Arts expressed gratitude to players for Battlefield 6’s success. The title has revitalized the franchise after previous troubled launches.
Initial launch figures outpaced Call of Duty, highlighting strong fan interest. The game has flaws — notably compact maps — yet it still ranks among the year’s best multiplayer releases.
In a post on its official site, EA confirmed Battlefield 6’s leading position, seemingly in response to competition from Black Ops 7 and ARC Raiders, the latter of which enjoyed considerable success.
The announcement came directly from EA, which thanked its community. The title remains popular — average daily player counts exceed 200,000. Recent Steam reviews have turned “mixed” due to bugs and gameplay issues, but EA is actively working to resolve them.
According to Alinea Analytics, by October 15 Battlefield 6 had sold more than 6.5 million copies within its first days on sale. Exact totals have not been released, though analysts estimate cumulative sales may be close to 10 million.
