Duet Night Abyss Challenges Genshin Impact — Free, No‑Gacha Game Launches Late October

The team behind Duet Night Abyss has announced the release date for their new free title. The Chinese studio confirmed the launch is scheduled for October 28, 2025. The game will arrive on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on mobile platforms.

The project’s defining feature is a complete abandonment of gacha systems and aggressive microtransactions. The developers clarified they will not sell characters or weapons. Monetization will be confined to purely cosmetic items — outfits and accessories that do not affect game balance. On the publisher’s official site they stressed:

“All characters and weapons can be unlocked for free.”

Duet Night Abyss is presented as an experiment within the action RPG space, sharing a spirit similar to Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves, but without imposing financial pressure on players.

October 28 will reveal whether the new project can sustain itself without the kinds of microtransactions that helped HoYoverse’s titles become global phenomena.
