Parallelmon originally appeared in the Digimon Adventure V-Tamer manga by Hiroshi Izawa — the work that helped shape the anime and broader franchise. For years the creature remained confined to those pages, never making a proper on-screen appearance. Interest flared recently after a subtle cut line in the Chosen Children costume pack hinted at the monster.

Characters from previous entries also show up: Kyoko Kuremi (from Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth) returns alongside her father, Kodai. The DLC adds five major Digimon to your roster: Omnimon Alter-B, Omnimon Zwart Defeat, BlitzGreymon, CresGarurumon, and Omnimon Alter-C.

Digimon Story Time Stranger — Episode Pack 1: Alternate Dimension launches on December 8. It’s the opening chapter of the season pass; two additional episodes are planned afterward.

“Digimon and Pokemon are fundamentally different,” says the producer of Digimon Story: Time Stranger, who hopes the new RPG will “serve as an opportunity” for the franchise to further define its identity.
