Diablo IV Adds Moofisto Boss for New Event

Developers have opened open season on a horned boss.

In September, Blizzard Entertainment launched a new in-game event in Diablo IV. Players can encounter Moophisto, a giant ruminant boss sowing chaos and destruction:

The reasons for the sudden appearance of this boss remain mooo-sterious. Rumors circulate about bull cultists who summoned Moophisto so that he would turn Sanctuary into his infernal pasture.

As part of the “Horned Deity” community challenge, players are invited to take the bull by the horns: they need to defeat Moophisto 300,000 times. The developers reported that “as a reward, the season of infernal heritage will gift all players the ‘Moother’ mount trophy.”

The event will run until September 14, and the Diablo IV team has showcased the trophy that players will be able to earn.

The rules of the event are simple: every player who participates in killing Moophisto will add one point to the overall progress bar:

Slay the hoofed tyrant over and over again to contribute more points. When Moophisto’s death meter accumulates 300,000 points, this little bull will finally be sent to the pen.

The developers are currently preparing for a new season titled Hell’s Legacy.
