Developers Relocate Worldwide to Work on New Fable Game
Director Ralph Fulton stated that the new Fable is being developed by true fans of the series who moved to Warwickshire from all over the world for the project.
The new Fable is being created by a team of series fans, with many developers moving from across the globe to a small town in Warwickshire to work on the game.
Handing Fable over to Playground Games, a studio best known for the Forza Horizon series, initially raised questions as the team had to take on a completely different genre and meet the expectations of the trilogy’s fans. However, Director Ralph Fulton is confident that the game is being made by people who deeply understand why players loved the original.
According to Fulton, every member of the team is first and foremost a “Fable fan.” A shared love for the franchise united the team, which was built almost from scratch, and that should be felt in the game itself.

The developers are also focusing on a story featuring vivid characters and unexpected plot twists. True to tradition, the ending will confront the player with a difficult choice, and the consequences will force them to reflect on their own decisions. Fable will be released on February 23, 2027, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
