You play as Dave, a deep-sea diver who spends his days plunging into the Blue Hole to recover lost relics and gather marine life. When night falls he returns to a neighborhood sushi spot, where his finds and fresh catches help improve the restaurant and expand its menu. Since launch, the game has continued to evolve with regular updates, including crossover events that bring characters and themes from Godzilla and the Like a Dragon series into the world.
Alongside an unexpected release on Xbox Series X|S, the developers also provided a fresh look at the In The Jungle expansion. Originally planned for late 2025, the expansion has been moved to early 2026. It will send Dave onto solid ground for the first time, letting players traverse jungle settlements, ride through wild terrain, and face off against new threats such as crocodiles.
Dave the Diver is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and via Xbox Cloud, with optimizations for handheld play. The In The Jungle expansion is slated to reach all platforms in early 2026.
