‘Daemons of the Shadow Realm’ Anime Renewed for Second Season

Studio Bones Film will continue adapting the manga by Fullmetal Alchemist author Hiromu Arakawa.

The Daemons of the Shadow Realm anime has officially been renewed for a second season. Alongside the announcement, the creators revealed the first teaser trailer and a poster for the continuation, though a premiere date has not yet been disclosed.

The story follows twins Yuru and Asa, who were separated in childhood. Years later, they try to find each other while gradually uncovering the mystery of their lineage, which is connected to tsugai—supernatural beings that exist in pairs and obey their masters. The first season aired from April to September 2026 and concluded with its 24th episode.

The adaptation is being handled by a team led by director Masahiro Ando, who directed Sword of the Stranger. Noboru Takagi (Golden Kamuy) is in charge of series composition, Nobuhiro Arai (Bungo Stray Dogs) designed the characters, and Kenichiro Suehiro, known for Fire Force and The Eminence in Shadow, composed the music.
