Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty Sells 15 Million Copies
Sales of Cyberpunk 2077 itself remain at 40 million copies.
According to CD Projekt RED, the Phantom Liberty expansion reached 15 million copies sold in the first half of 2026. This means that the expansion added another 5 million copies since May 2025, when sales stood at 10 million units.
For the only major expansion to Cyberpunk 2077, this is an especially impressive result, as Phantom Liberty took less than three years to clear the 15-million-copy mark.

The success of the expansion has been a vital part of the large-scale rehabilitation of Cyberpunk 2077 following the game’s mixed launch in 2020. Phantom Liberty added a new Night City district called Dogtown, a separate storyline, new characters, weapons, and other features to the game. The expansion received high praise from critics and players alike.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, meanwhile, has reached 65 million copies sold.
