Crowsworn Revealed at Xbox Partner Preview — New Metroidvania Inspired by Hollow Knight
At the Xbox Partner Preview, the Metroidvania Crowsworn was showcased — a game in which players battle ordinary foes and bosses, traverse platforming challenges, and hunt for hidden secrets.
The launch is planned for PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass.
Crowsworn is a dark, hand-animated Metroidvania in which the protagonist explores the cursed land of Fearanndal, overrun by monsters and littered with remnants of a long-lost humanity.
The focus is on dynamic, fast-paced combat, with dozens of weapons and abilities promised. A large, interconnected world hides countless secrets, more than 120 enemy types and over 30 demanding bosses, plus a branching rune system that lets players craft unique ability combinations.
A Souls-like narrative gradually reveals the nature of the curse and the kingdom’s fate, urging the player to explore and fight. The developers promise a compelling story, tough adversaries, and an energizing soundtrack.
