Critics Call RX 9050 with 4GB VRAM a Scam Due to Poor 1080p Gaming Performance
The 4GB VRAM version of the AMD RX 9050 delivered extremely poor results in its first Hardware Unboxed review, failing to reach 60 FPS even at low settings in 1080p.
The publication tested the RX 9050 with 4GB of VRAM, which is installed in prebuilt OEM computers. According to Hardware Unboxed, this memory capacity is no longer sufficient for modern games, as previous tests by the outlet revealed issues even with 8GB VRAM graphics cards.
In Black Flag Resynced, the RX 9050 with 4GB of VRAM does not allow for playable 60 FPS performance even at low settings in 1080p. A similar situation occurs in Crimson Desert, while in Space Marine 2, a rate of 59 FPS is reached only at minimum settings in 1080p.

The RX 9050 model with 8GB of VRAM shows a noticeable advantage. Hardware Unboxed believes that graphics cards with 4GB of VRAM no longer have a place on the market. The editors concluded:
There is no other way to call this: the RX 9050 4GB VRAM is simply a scam.
