Creators of Slavic Bogatyr Action Game Godreaper Release Gameplay Trailer
Players will face various monsters.
Studio NextGenium recently released a new trailer for Godreaper. The developers position their project as a dark third-person action-adventure.
The story centers on the bogatyr Zaremir, who must explore a world inspired by East Slavic mythology. The main character has to unravel the mysteries of dying lands and stop a catastrophe:
The familiar order collapsed when an unknown blight struck the roots of the World Tree. Poisonous decay blinded the gods: having lost their minds, the guardians of order turned into insane tyrants. While creatures from Nav feast on the ruins of villages, an implacable horde advances from the east toward the borders of the homeland.
When creating the gameplay for Godreaper, the authors used projects like God of War and Elden Ring as references, taking from them everything that makes them loved:
- The feel of weapons and a living blade;
- A variety of combat mechanics and freedom in battle;
- Formidable bosses and cold-blooded creatures;
- The dark atmosphere of a dying world;
