Cancelled The Last of Us Part II multiplayer gameplay shown in PC mod

The game’s resemblance to The Last of Us is no accident.

Studio Albatross Interactive has shared a fresh update on Terminal War by releasing a trailer featuring gameplay footage.

This time, the developers offered players a look at a 1-on-1 combat playtest. Players will be able to climb various objects, such as containers, engage in gunfights, and participate in close-quarters combat.

Although the developers showcased duels, Terminal War is actually a team-based third-person shooter. Set in post-war America in 1999, the story takes place 7 years after World War III. The country is in a state of nuclear standoff with itself, and three factions are fighting for power.

Anyone familiar with The Last of Us franchise might find the gameplay footage reminiscent of Naughty Dog’s project, and that is not a coincidence. Earlier this year, it was revealed that specialists who worked on the canceled multiplayer mode of The Last of Us Part II are contributing to the project.

Terminal War can be added to your Steam wishlist. The developers have not yet specified a release date for the project, nor do they have a release window.
