Californians Left Far Behind — Stellar Blade Becomes the Most Successful Former PlayStation Exclusive on PC
The South Korean studio Shift Up’s title has outperformed releases from Naughty Dog, Santa Monica Studio, and Guerrilla Games.
Stellar Blade has claimed the top spot among former PlayStation exclusives on PC for both concurrent players and sales, leaving God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Marvel’s Spider-Man and other Sony titles well behind.
Originally launched as a PlayStation 5 exclusive in April 2024, Stellar Blade arrived on PC on June 11, 2025. The PC port sold one million copies within its first three days, bringing the game’s total global sales to over three million units.
At launch on PC, Stellar Blade recorded a Steam peak of 192,000 concurrent players — nearly 2.5 times the peak of its closest competitor, Ghost of Tsushima (77,000 players).
