Bloody racing series returns after a 10-year hiatus — teaser for Carmageddon: Rogue Shift unveiled
In the 1990s the Carmageddon series gained notoriety for its extreme violence. The new entry, Carmageddon: Rogue Shift, is being developed by the Italian studio 34BigThings, best known for the high-speed, futuristic racer Redout.
To date only a short, mysterious teaser has been released. The full reveal is set for December 4, 2025 at the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, where the first gameplay trailer will be shown and we’ll learn whether the new installment preserves the franchise’s original spirit.
The last full release, Reincarnation, arrived a decade ago via Kickstarter but failed to restore the brand’s former stature. With publisher THQ Nordic and a refreshed development team, Carmageddon has a genuine chance to reclaim its crown as the king of brutal, chaotic entertainment.
