Some World of Warcraft fans have already had a chance to test out the new feature.

At BlizzCon 2026, the creators of World of Warcraft introduced a teaser for The Last Titan. This expansion will serve as the finale of the Worldsoul Saga, which began a few years ago and includes previous expansions such as The War Within and Midnight.

In the published teaser, the developers showed a massive figure standing on snowy peaks and preparing to attack:

The final chapter of the Worldsoul Saga, The Last Titan expansion, will be the culmination of more than 20 years of Warcraft history. It will bring this grand narrative to a close and lay the foundation for the future of the universe.

The end of the teaser indicated a 2027 release window. Additional details about the expansion will be shared early next year.

An image of a World of Warcraft Xbox controller layout has also appeared online. Some players are speculating that the game might be released on consoles.

In addition, Blizzard Entertainment published a World of Warcraft roadmap. A major update, WoW Midnight: Eclipse, is scheduled for the winter of 2026 to 2027. The game will add new quests, an exploration zone, a raid, a dungeon, a delve, a legendary dagger for spellcasters, and the Paladin class for Forsaken, Night Elves, and Trolls.

Patch 12.12: Xal’atath will strike a new blow, coming dangerously close to seizing the soul of the world of Azeroth. The fate of the entire world rests in your hands.

Patches 12.2.5 and 12.2.7 are scheduled for the summer of 2027, bringing a new world event and quests, along with plans to run the World of Warcraft Remix: Wrath of the Lich King event.
