Blizzard inadvertently hinted at a PC version for Diablo V during BlizzCon 2026, even though the game’s platforms have not been officially announced yet.

During a media briefing, Diablo V director Joe Shely was asked about the game’s platforms. He responded that Blizzard had nothing to announce yet, but that the company wants to let as many players as possible experience Diablo 5. After that, a PR representative in the audience loudly whispered, “PC version.” Shely immediately joked, “You were not supposed to tell them that!” The Blizzard representative replied, “If we are not on PC, we have a problem.”

Despite this exchange, Blizzard later stated that the platforms for Diablo V have not been revealed yet. The game is scheduled for release in the spring of 2029, and platform details will be announced at a later date.

It remains unknown whether Diablo 5 will appear on PlayStation and Xbox. Previous entries in the series launched on Sony consoles, Microsoft consoles, and PC. A similar situation previously arose with StarCraft.
