The Black Ops 7 beta, originally set to conclude at 10 a.m. PDT on Wednesday, has been extended by 24 hours — players now have until Thursday to continue playing the next Call of Duty installment.
To encourage more participation during the extension, Treyarch has enabled double XP for the remainder of the beta. Weapon XP is doubled as well, giving everyone a fair shot at reaching the level‑30 cap and unlocking the beta’s content. If you can, try out some of the standout weapons in the Black Ops 7 beta and rank them to discover their full potential. If you haven’t jumped into the beta yet, now’s a great time to get familiar with how it plays.
Image: Activision/TreyarchIf you’ve already sampled the current map rotation, a sixth map — Toshin — will be added for this final 48‑hour stretch. Toshin places combat in a bustling Japanese shopping district dominated by a ruined monorail and bright advertising displays.
This update follows the recent addition of Blackheart, which arrived on Sunday. Blackheart is a compact map built on a maritime drilling platform, with a central chokepoint formed by a rotating platform in the only enclosed area. The beta’s playlist also grew to include Open Search & Destroy and Hardcore Moshpit, arriving after Open Moshpit was added the day prior.
Planning to return to Black Ops 6 once the beta wraps up? Season 6 is set to begin soon after the beta ends, with “Halloween fun just around the corner.” For the full list of beta changes, see the official Call of Duty patch notes.
