Battlefield 6 to Receive Major Update on October 28 Aimed at Fixing Nearly All Player Complaints
The first season will launch on all platforms that same day.
Next week Battlefield 6 will receive a substantial 1.1.1.0 update, delivering a range of enhancements designed to improve gameplay, visual effects, audio, and the user interface.
- Developers refined movement mechanics — making landings smoother, stance transitions quicker, and jump-and-obstacle traversal more consistent.
- The weapon spread system was overhauled to better match each gun’s characteristics: lower-damage weapons now exhibit slightly more spread, while high-damage weapons have reduced spread.
- Lighting transitions between interiors and exteriors were optimized, and the density of post-destruction fog and smoke has been reduced.
- New visual effects were added for flying projectiles, explosions, and structural damage, and audio mixes for weapons and vehicles have been enhanced. Fixes address missing footstep sounds, incorrect voice commands, and audio sync issues during reloads.
- Indicators for unlocked items were introduced, 3D gadget previews were improved, and demo videos showcasing their functionality have been added.
With the update’s release the first season will also begin, bringing a new map, a game mode, new gear, weapons, vehicles, and cosmetic items to Battlefield 6.
