Battlefield 6 Developers Promise Faster Progression and Action Against Bot Operators Occupying Portal Servers
Challenges to unlock weapons will be made easier.
Battlefield Studios has announced plans to speed up progression in Battlefield 6. The update is scheduled to roll out next week.
- +10% XP for completing a match
- +40% XP from daily bonuses
- Reduced XP required to unlock attachments on the first 20 weapon ranks
The community had also voiced concerns about painfully slow progress toward certain challenges that grant cosmetic and gameplay rewards. In response, the studio has lowered the thresholds: challenges that previously unlocked at career ranks 20, 23, and 26 will now unlock at ranks 10, 15, and 20, respectively. The objectives themselves will be simplified as well, but that change will arrive later since developers need time to design, test, and implement the adjustments.
Battlefield Studios additionally pledged to address “bot-farmers” who create bespoke maps to farm bot XP—monopolizing Portal servers and preventing other players from discovering and building maps to play together.
