Atari Celebrates Intellivision’s 45th Anniversary with Launch of a New Console Version

Atari is preparing a new treat for retro-console fans — a refreshed Intellivision is set to arrive soon.

The company has once again highlighted its roots and legacy in the gaming industry. To mark the 45th anniversary of the original Intellivision, Atari revealed an updated edition of the console.

Intellivision Sprint will be available for purchase on January 20, 2026. Developed in partnership with PLAION REPLAI, the system features an authentic aesthetic: a black-and-gold casing with a wood-textured front panel. Key hardware updates include two wireless controllers, an HDMI output, and a USB port to expand the game library.

The unit ships with 45 built-in titles, including sports games such as Baseball, Chip Shot Super Pro Golf, Soccer, Super Pro Skiing, Tennis, and Super Pro Football; strategy entries like B-17 Bomber, Sea Battle, Space Battle, and Utopia; and arcade favorites including Astrosmash, Shark! Shark!, Star Strike, Thin Ice, and Boulder Dash.

Full details and the complete game list are published on Atari’s official website, where pre-orders are also being taken. The preorder price for the Intellivision Sprint is $163.18.
