Assassin’s Creed Shadows Files Appear to Reveal Black Flag Remake Title
Players have long been anticipating the return of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag in a refreshed form.
Talk of a potential remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has recently intensified. This time the stir wasn’t driven by insider tips but by a dataminer posting under the name thequaliti.
In a November localization update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, they noticed a disclaimer in the localization table that clearly pertained to a different project:
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a work of historical fiction produced by a diverse team of creators. Although the game draws inspiration from real events, people, and locations, it remains a fictional interpretation that uses artistic license to adapt the material into an interactive video game experience.
Players suspect the AC IV remake will drop the numeral and be titled “Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.” The original numbering could discourage newcomers who might assume they must play earlier entries before diving into this release.
