Arrowhead’s Next Game Will Be Close to Helldivers 2 — Studio Hints at “the Same DNA”
Arrowhead still intends for Helldivers 2 to remain an enduring title, but work on the studio’s next project is already underway.
In an interview, creative director Johan Pilestedt said that the beginning of a project is “the part I love most — when a new team comes together and the barriers between us fall away, when we learn who we are as people and what games we want to create together”.
Asked about the team’s ambitions, he added:
We want to extend the legacy we’ve already established. It won’t be radically different from Helldivers, so devoted fans will be able to move straight into the next title and immediately recognize its DNA.
Details are scarce for now; the only confirmed fact is that the game will launch on multiple platforms.
