Through November 27, players can visit Arrakis free of charge and sample Dune: Awakening content, including post-launch expansions. If you decide to buy the game, all progress will carry over.
Those who want to continue the journey can purchase the game at a 25% discount through December 1. During the trial you can create a character in any sietch and world and explore the Hagga Basin (excluding Harko Village, Arrakin, and the Heart of the Desert). Communication has been limited to prevent spam and griefing.
Funcom has been updating the game since its launch in June 2025. Chapter 2 expanded the story and introduced new content and features, while the Lost Bounty DLC added a standalone narrative, a wheeled vehicle, Melanjer construction pieces, and more. The map is more varied, loot has greater value, vehicles are easier to spot, and overall stability has improved.
The studio will soon introduce a base-recovery tool, character transfers, and Chapter 3.
