Set in 1984, the narrative follows Colonel Lee Shaw on a high-stakes mission into the Soviet Union. His objective is to thwart a Russian plot to unleash a formidable new Titan, a creature whose awakening threatens to bring about global catastrophe.
Wyatt Russell is set to reprise his role as the younger Lee Shaw, continuing the legacy of the character he shared with his father, Kurt Russell, in the original series.
Joby Harold, the creative force overseeing the MonsterVerse television expansion, will return as showrunner for the upcoming project.
