The author is working on the continuation of his literary saga.

Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski has shared a timeline for his work on the next novel in the Witcher universe. Speaking at the Copernicon festival in Toruń, the author stated that he expects to finish the manuscript by the end of 2027, though he noted that plans could change:

“Theoretically, I should finish the new Witcher book by the end of next year, but of course, everything can change.”

Sapkowski has not yet revealed plot details. It is only known that Geralt will once again be the main character, though it remains unknown whether the novel will continue the story of the young witcher that began in Crossroads of Ravens or take up another spot in the series timeline.

The writer also stated that he does not plan to release spin-offs about Yennefer and other secondary characters because he sees no point in it.

If Sapkowski actually finishes his work in 2027, the Polish edition of the novel could be released in 2028, and international editions will likely appear closer to 2029.
