‘Ahsoka’ Star Says Her Character Will Get More Screen Time in Season Two

Filming on the second season of “Ahsoka” has wrapped, and actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead confirmed that her character, Hera Syndulla, will be one of the central figures in the upcoming episodes.

The second season of “Ahsoka” is now in post-production, and viewers can expect significantly more screen time for New Republic General Hera Syndulla, portrayed by Mary Elizabeth Winstead. In the first season, her character was torn between loyalty to friends and duty, even risking a court-martial for disobeying orders. According to the actress, Hera will play a far more active role this time.

“I don’t know how much I can disclose, but I’m in noticeably more of the action this season — and it was a ton of fun. Hera is finally getting things done, as they say. I just wrapped filming, and it was an absolute thrill. I can’t wait for audiences to see everything.”

Plot details are still being kept under wraps, but at this year’s Star Wars Celebration, series creator Dave Filoni confirmed that Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker. It was also revealed that Rory McCann will step in for the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, and the new season will portray a full-scale war against Grand Admiral Thrawn under the command of Admiral Ackbar.

The next entry in the Star Wars slate is the film “The Mandalorian and Grogu,” slated to premiere on May 22, 2026. The second season of “Ahsoka” is expected to follow, likely in the summer of 2026, though an official release date has not yet been announced.
