Activision Unveils DMZ Recon Extraction Mode for Call of Duty: Mobile and Releases Trailer with Launch Date

Activision continues to expand Call of Duty: Mobile and is preparing an alternative to the discontinued Warzone Mobile.

Activision has announced a new extraction mode, DMZ Recon, coming to Call of Duty: Mobile. Its gameplay draws from the DMZ in Modern Warfare III but is reworked for mobile devices.

In DMZ Recon, players will scavenge equipment, complete objectives, and try to extract alive to keep their loot. Activision promises larger-scale maps, an expanded loadout system, and progression that emphasizes risk–reward decisions.

The mode’s launch will serve as a partial replacement for the discontinued Warzone Mobile. Support for that title, which launched in 2024, was discontinued in May 2025 due to a small playerbase.

DMZ Recon will arrive in Call of Duty: Mobile on December 11, 2025. The mode is scheduled to go live at approximately 11:00 Moscow time.
