We acknowledge that the current creature balance needs adjustment. At present, encounters with predators often lean toward frustration rather than the intended atmosphere of tension and excitement. Furthermore, the tools available for mitigation frequently feel unreliable or unclear, leaving players uncertain of how to defend themselves. We agree this is not the experience you deserve.

Our team is currently prioritizing improvements to creature behavior and your defensive toolkit. You can expect a series of upcoming patches to refine aggression patterns, detection ranges, the effectiveness of flares and Survival Tools, and how creatures interact with your vehicles and bases.

Addressing Combat and Vulnerability

We have heard your requests for more direct methods of dealing with hostile creatures, including the option to eliminate them. We understand that this desire stems from a need for more agency when current avoidance mechanics feel insufficient.
