Greetings, Subnauts!
Our third hotfix for Subnautica 2 is now live. This update focuses on refining your experience by upgrading DLSS to version 4.5, squashing recurring crashes, and balancing creature AI to make your encounters more immersive.
Here is the complete breakdown of the changes included in today’s patch:
- DLSS Enhancements: Resolved instability issues, fixed settings persistence, and enabled Frame Generation for all game versions.
- Construction Costs: Interior Wall resource requirements have been slashed to 25% of their original cost.
- Creature AI & Balance:
- Hammerheads: No longer hostile toward unpiloted Tadpoles, though they may still show curiosity. Fixed an issue where they failed to react to Flares.
- Marrowbreaches: Increased overall damage output, though attack intervals have been spaced out.
- Nibblers: Reduced detection radius and movement speed, increased their interest in the Multitool, and lengthened the “circling” phase before they strike. Damage output has been increased.
- Technical & Stability Fixes:
- Eliminated a rare crash occurring during game startup.
- Fixed a multiplayer bug where clients would reset to previous coordinates upon rejoining a session.
- Resolved an exploit where Strike Armor modifications stacked additively.
- Corrected a visual bug where goggles remained visible in first-person after exiting the Tadpole Haul Chassis as a passenger.
- Polished UI localization for the Terms of Service screen and added granular detail to crash reports for better diagnostics.
