Restoring Our Oceans Together: Subnautica 2 × The Ocean Cleanup
Greetings, Subnauts,
Ever since Subnautica 2 surfaced in Early Access, the depth of your passion has continually inspired our team.
You have charted unforgiving abyssal trenches, engineered ambitious seafloor outposts in places we never thought viable, guided friends into the deep unknown, and provided indispensable insights that directly influence every phase of development.

You have dedicated countless hours to revitalizing an alien ecosystem. Now, fueled by your support, we are channeling that energy back into healing our own planet’s waters.
On behalf of the entire Subnautica community, we are contributing $100,000 to The Ocean Cleanup, an innovative non-profit engineering pioneering technologies to rid the world’s oceans and rivers of plastic pollution.
Marine stewardship has anchored the soul of the Subnautica franchise from the very beginning. Having initially partnered with The Ocean Cleanup during the original game, extending this commitment through Subnautica 2 is the most natural way to honor the shared ethos of our community.
Our commitment, however, extends beyond financial aid. Several members of our development team geared up and headed to their local coastlines and beaches to take hands-on action. Here is a glimpse of their efforts in the field:

From the bottom of our hearts—and the deepest depths of the sea—thank you for your continued dedication.
Keep diving!
