Subnautica 2 Early Access Hotfix 4

Subnautica 2 Early Access Hotfix 4

Greetings, Subnauts,

Our fourth hotfix for Subnautica 2 is officially live. This update addresses several key concerns, including progression blockers, unwanted water currents manifesting inside your bases, and the missing FOV slider on Xbox consoles.

We are consistently reviewing your feedback, so please continue to share any bugs or performance issues through the in-game reporting tool or our official support portal.

Below is the complete list of improvements included in today’s patch:

  • Resolved an issue where Angel Combs would fail to open for certain players, inadvertently stalling game progression.
  • Eliminated intrusive water currents within player bases that were hindering movement, causing players to get stuck, or preventing base construction and expansion.
  • Restored the visibility of the Field of View (FOV) slider on Xbox.
  • Patched two recurring crashes:
    • Fixed a crash on Xbox occurring when attempting to accept session invitations.
    • Resolved a crash associated with creature spawning logic.

Important Note: If you utilize mods in Subnautica 2, we strongly recommend disabling or removing them before launching the game following this update. Third-party mods may not yet be compatible with the current version and could trigger unexpected crashes or stability issues. You may safely restore your mods once their creators have issued the necessary updates.

Please note that this hotfix is currently rolling out globally. Xbox users will receive the update as soon as it clears the certification process.

Happy diving!
